| The gateway to another world. |
With most of the big ticket items checked off our list, we took it easy on our third morning, enjoying another breakfast at the hotel before checking out and heading for the airport. My elevated status with the OneWorld group (due to my business travelling) got us access to the Emirates First Class Lounge, which is in a world of its own. Occupying an entire floor, the Lounge stretches the length of the terminal, and far and away surpasses any other lounge I have been in.

We supped on a sumptuous three-course lunch with drinks. Shown below are our main courses:
- US Prime Beef Tenderloin served with potato foam, spinach cream, crispy egg yolk and chervil jus; and
- Pink Roast Duck, served with celeriac puree, parsnip, Brussels sprouts and beetroot glaze.

We were certainly well rested and satisfied after our time in the lounge - so work hard and tally up those frequent flyer points, because I highly recommend the Emirates First Class Lounge in Dubai!
After relaxing a little - we didn't quite have time to try out the spa and massage; next time! - we made our way to the private boarding gate within the lounge, boarding our second flight to head off to our next stop: Athens.
